Norman Lewallen Jr. was hired at Unitog Uniform Rentals in 1990. In 1993 Norm led a successful organizing drive in which he and his co-workers became Teamster Local 20 members. Norm was elected Chief Steward and was instrumental in the negotiations of the first three (3) contracts on behalf of his co-workers. During this time Norm was an active volunteer at Local 20, working on a number of organizing campaigns, the Labor Day Parades and the Pumpkin Patch.
In 2002 Norm was hired at Local 20 as an Organizer, a position he still holds today. In addition, Norm took on the duties of a Business Representative in 2007 and in June 2010 Norm was appointed as a Trustee on the Executive Board of Teamsters Local 20.
Norm has been married for over 30 years to Cindy. He also has three daughters Melissa, Amanda, and Andrea. He also has one granddaughter Rae Rae.
When he is not working you can find Norm at Toledo Speedway racing his car, at home working on the car, or if the ice cream truck is going by and Rae Rae is over visiting, that is definitely where he will be.
